| Precise application of fertilizer where you want
it is a big reason to own your own Gandy spreader. Application
is precise because of the factory-mated bottom and slide. Rates
are adjusted to your ground application speed by a direct-acting
cam gauge. You apply uniformly across the spreader widths with no
fertilizer tossed into fence rows or ditch banks and wasted.
Fertilizer components are not separated by centrifugal force, but
are applied evenly without streaking.
The 10 series spreader is offered in four sizes - 6, 8, 10,
12-foot spreading widths - the hopper holding approximately 100
pounds per linear foot (50 kg/m). The metering bottom and slide
has 1-1/2 inch diamond-shaped openings spaced 4 inches apart. The
10 series spreader is designed for most agricultural applications,
and is well suited to turf work and some specialized agricultural
uses. As an added feature, each model has a spread-plate as
standard equipment.
To fit your usage demands, Gandy offers the 10T spreader in
trailing units, 3-pt hitch, and implement-mounted versions.
Internal rotors are ground driven on trailing, and 3-pt. hitch
models: hydraulic or electric motor on implement-mounted units.
All models, including trailing units, have hydraulic cylinder
